Here's Some Of The Worst Runway Looks Of Rupaul's Drag Race

 Hello gorgeous people, i hope you're having a wonderful day and before anything i just want to say that i'm deeply sorry for not posting anything for more than 1 month but the thing is that i've been busy with university especially on this semester because of internship/final project of the course. I hope you can understand that and also i will try to publish something on each week to keep on being active on here. As you read in the title, today i will talking about some of the worst looks of Rupaul's Drag Race. This show, especially on design challenges, some queens totally didn't know what they were doing while creating these looks. Some of them were really confident in their looks while others were just praying to come out in a beautiful outfit but that's not case, for most of them. So let's start by talking about some of those looks that are considered by me and also by the majority of the fandom, some of the worst looks of Rupaul's Drag Race. Just want to give you the usual warning of SPOILERS AHEAD. You have been warned.

First up, we have Aja from Season 9 where she placed 9th. Before the season started, Aja was a fan favourite so expectations were high for her but unfortunately i don't think she met those expectations, placing in the bottom twice, being safe almost the entire time she was there and honestly some of her looks could have been improved. With this particular look on episode 4, she was so confident that she would make an outfit that the judges would love and she even mentioned, one time, that she felt like she was going to win the challenge so you can imagine how shocked how the fans were when she walked out with this. There are so many things wrong with this look. First of all, combine orange and red together it's not a good idea even though i really like those colours. Those chaps look very loose on her, the coat looks just like a piece of fabric that she threw over herself just in an attempt to look more fashionable. I tend to not critique the queen's makeup but i have to say that Aja's makeup on this look is not the best, it's very dark around her eyes and her countour looks very harsh but i'm glad that after that she started painting in a more soft way, showing that she listened to the judges critiques. On this episode, she landed on the bottom 2 and won the lipsync sending home castmate Kimora Blac. She later returned to All Stars 3 where she had the opportunity to redeem this look and she absolutely slayed it and honestly it is one of the best looks from her, in my opinion. 

Next up, we have Jiggly Caliente from Season 4 where she placed 8th. Jiggly is very loved by the fandom (myself included) but there's no way that you can say that this is a good look. This look is from the premiere of Season 4 and what a way to make a first impression. The challenge was to create an apocalyptic from trash and let's just say that basically what it seems like is that Jiggly threw every piece of trash that she could collect on this outfit and was like "This looks amazing" and then walked out on the runway with this outfit on. I have to say, it takes courage and confidence to walk out on this and just sell it, trying to make it look like it is the best look ever made. It's so hard to look at this outfit mostly because you don't know where to look since it is too much going on and there is many things on top of each other. I don't even know how she got time to put so many stuff together and also she got herself into this outfit with all that materia. There only 2 things that i actually like about this outfit, one of them is the fact that she is wearing sneakers which i understand because it must be uncomfortable walking in heels so i don't blame her and i remember at the time, many people didn't like it because they thought Drag Queens were supposed to wear heels with every outfit which is not true because Drag is about being yourself so you wanna walking in sneakers, go for it. The other thing i like is her makeup. she did a very interesting makeup, with many colours and i though that was fun and it was actually well made, in my opinion. The rest of the outfit is very bad and that's why she landed in the bottom 2 where she sent home her castmate Alisa Summers. She came back for All Stars 6 where she landed in the bottom again on the first design challenge and eventually got sent home but then she revealed on her Instagram an other version of this outfit and i have to say, it looks way better and even more edgy.

Next up, we have Kahanna Montrese from Season 11 where she placed 14th. Being the drag daughter of Coco Montrese, i was very interested to see what she had to offer and to be completely honest i was a little bit disappointed because, for the two episodes she was in the season, she didn't showcase her best which is a shame because nowadays she is absolutely slaying it performing in Vegas and she also had a glow-up in terms of makeup, outfits and even wigs. For the first episode of Season 11, the queens had to create a look from scratch using materials that were on the boxes of some iconic queens from the show. Kahanna was assigned Katya's box and so she had to create a look that was Katya inspired. Katya is a queen that you can't really put in just one category because she can be a comedy queen, a fashion queen, or even an pageant queen so it's very hard to create a look that is the signature of Katya but one colour that Katya loves is red so i can understand why Kahanna tried to made something with that colour but besides that, i don't know what she was really going for. The wig is not really something that Katya would wear (she only wears blonde wigs, atleast today), the thights are not fully stoned which actually doesn't sit right with me, the shoes are not cute but not for this look and then the bra that she was wearing was the same one that she used fot her entrance look and it doesn't look nice on this look and also Kahanna herserlf couldn't defend the outfit on the runway when the judges asked her what was the thought process behind the outfit. I feel like she knew that this outfit was just something that it was impossible to defend. She landed in the bottom 2 and won the lipsync against her castmate Soju, sending her home. Kahanna didn't have a good showing on Season 11 but with the glowup that she had, I hope you she can come back and redeem herself and show everyone what she is made of.

Next up, we have Kalorie Karbdashian Williams from Season 10 where she finished 13th. Kalorie walked into the workroom giving an idea that she was very confident in her skills and in herself but soon everyone realises that confidence was just talk meaning she is really wasn't that confident and i think that was the main reason why she really didn't shine in the two episodes she was in because she was not confident in what she could do. The challenge was to create an outfit using items from 99 cent store, which by the way seems to be a very hard challenge, and Kalorie decided to create a look using money which could have been amazing but there's many problems that could making an outfit using only money/paper, for example, they are not very easy to glue to each other, you need a lot of money to cover up your body whether you are skinny or not, it's still hard, and also ther have been another looks that were made using only money (dollar bills and coins) and they were phenomenal so she had to create another phenomenal look otherwise she would be read for it. That eventually ended up happening for her, the judges (and myself) didn't really like the outfit. In my opinion, she idea was very good and also i liked that she was taking a risk but ultimately, the execution of the outift was what really i didn't like. The shape that she created didn't flatter her fabulous body, the dollar bills didn't hide completely hide her black corset and also even though the wig is nice and i like it, i wish she had worn something bigger as a wig. The makeup is what i like the most, she looks very pretty in the face. She landed in the bottom 2 and won the lipsync against her castmate Vanessa Vanjie Mateo (Miss Vanjie). Since Drag Race, Kalorie has been flying under the radar for a while so i don't know if she will be invited for an All Stars season but who knows, i could be wrong.

Lastly, we have Lala Ri from Season 13 where she placed 10th. I really like Lala Ri, she is a sweetheart, very relatable, an amazing performer but i don't know what she had in mind when creating this look. The challenge was to present 3 looks and the last one, the queens had to create it from bags since it was the Bag Ball. Lala Ri before this look already presented a weak one and a kind of a strong look so this last one had to be memorable and it was but for the wrong seasons. There's nothing positive about this look, the bags don't cover the corset neither the panties, the bags are too small and instead of doing something with them, she just glued them, the boots look very cheap and even the purse she had on as a wig was very confusing for me. One thing i would like to point out is the courage that she had to walk out in this outfit and tried to sell it to the judges. She even prayed to God to help her with the challenge, and as you can see it, he didn't help her atleast not in the challenge but in the lipsync he did because she landed on the bottom 2 (there's no one way she would be safe) and she won it, sending home her castmate Joey Jay. During the reunion of Season 13, Rupaul decided to give an award to Lala Ri for how bad and iconic the outfit was and so Lala Ri received the first ever Golden Boot Award which she gladly accepted since she is not delusional and knows how bad the outfit was. I'm glad Lala Ri got the love from the fans because she really deserves it and i wish to see her in a future All Stars Season because i feel like she has so much to offer and can also have a redemption which is also so nice to see.

Well gorgeous people, these are 5 of the worst outfits of Rupaul's Drag Race, I hope you like it and once again, i'm sorry for not posting for more than 1 month but i will try to post something once a week. Also, just want to say that i like all the queens from this post, i'm just giving my opinion on the looks themselves, this has nothing to do with queens, just with the looks.
