Hello gorgeous people, i hope you're having a wonderful day and today i'm gonna be doing the review of the third episode of UK Vs The World. This episode had to perform in a Rusical called "West End Wendys:The Comeback" where every queen will portray a parody of a very-well known character from movies, tv-show, etc. On the runway, the category was "Dot,Dot,Dot". Before starting reviewing every queen performance and runway look, just a reminder of SPOILERS AHEAD. You have been warned.
First up on the rusical, we have Pangina Heals or as I like to call her PanPan. In the rusical, PanPan performed as Widdle Orphan Fannie a parody of the character Annie Bennett from the movie Annie and i have to say that she really shined in the Rusical, she stayed in character the all time, she was able to make the performance very funny, very camp and she surprised me a lot because i honestly thought that with all the choreography and lipsync she would struggle but i was wrong and i'm glad i was, because i love to see PanPan slaying every challenge and showcasing her many talents. On the runway, she served an high fashion version of a chinese lamp and honestly i think she did an amazing job and it was a good idea for her to take off that headpiece so we could see her makeup, which was gorgeous and very well done. The fit of the dress was very good, i love all the balls and dots that the garment has and once again, overall, it was a very strong week for Pangina putting as one of the frontrunners of the competition proving that she came to slay the competition. Let's see if she can keep this momentum or if next week she is going to stumble for the first time.
Next up on the Rusical, we have Baga Chipz. She portrayed Tracy Fatberg a parody of Tracy TurnBlad from Hairspray. I have to admit, Baga's performance started off a little bit shaky but as it went on, she started to get better and overall i thought it was a good performance even though she didn't want to have this character, but in these types of challenges sometimes you have to get a character that you don't really care for. On the runway, Baga surprised me, in a good way, because this is the first time in this season that i really liked her outfit and i think she looks cute, pink is a colour that goes well with her. Yes, there are some things that could be improved such as, the umbrella could have looked more expensive and the wig should have longer or in another shade of pink. But i'm glad that Baga finally served a look that is actually good and well put together. This week, she again was safe which was fine for me i think is fair but i know that the fandom really thinks that she should have in the bottom. I think this week she was judged fair and the judges got it right but i do still think that she got a free pass last week.
Next up, we have Jujubee, also known as Juju. She portrayed Lally Bowelz, a parody of Sally Bowles from the iconic movie Cabaret. In that movie, Sally was portrayed by the diva herself Liza Minnelli (which explains the look that Juju wore on the rusical). On the rusical, Juju delivered an okay performance, she got some of the choreography in there, looked like Sally but overall it was not on the same level as the other girls were and then again she didn't shine or stand out. After last week, i was expecting for her step up the game and totally starting to take some risks but for some reason that is not happening. On the runway, she served a look that you could see on a mall or at a costuma store. Everytime i see what juju did for the runway in this episode, i get a little angry because it looks like she doesn't care about this competition and is just there to kill time. With this look, the only two positive things that i can say about this runway is that her makeup, again, looks absolutely stunning and i appreciate the fact that she can walk in such high heels but the rest of this outfit i can't find any compliments to give her. Being her fourth time competing, you would think that she would serve amazing looks and would slay every challenge but actually she is doing the opposite which is sad, because is so iconic and talented but in this season it looks like she is tired all the time. Maybe she can still have a redemption, we'll see.
Next up on the rusical we have Blu Hydrangea. She performed as Mariah Gon Trappy, a parody of Maria von Trapp from the movie "The Sound Of Music". When i heard this character was supposed to dirty and horny, the person i thought that would portray it the best, would the horniest queen of the cast which is Blu (she said it herself). And she slayed in the Rusical playing with this character, not only she had a hard choreography to learn, she also had to use some props which increases the difficulty but she still held her own and delivered one of best performances of the night, which makes me so happy. On the runway, Blu just killed it with this look, I mean everything about it just perfect, the fit is awesome, the makeup is absolutely gorgeous and the fact that she has another faces that are similiar to her own face is genious and probably the most creative outfit of the whole season, so far. Blu served the best look of the week and again she was for some reason overlooked again by the judges that put her as safe when she clearly had a top performance and could easily be on the Top 2 this week but that didn't happen. It's the second week in a row that Blu is getting overlooked by the judges and i just hope that changes in the upcoming weeks because in my opinion she could be the winner of this whole thing, she is doing things that many queens wouldn't dare to do and that is a sign of a winner, in my eyes.
Next up, we have Mo Heart. She portrayed Dr. Spank-n-Spurter, a parody of Dr. Frank-N-Furter from The Rocky Horror Picture Show (watching that movie is a experience you will never forget). In my opinion, this performance had its peaks and valleys. She totally sold the character and you could see how confident she was while performing but then when doing a cartwheel she slipped on the costume and that messed up the performance a bit and then you could notice that on her face she had that look of "Oh no, I messed up" and that took me out of the fantasy of the rusical, which is a shame her performance up until that moment was very solid. On the runway, she said that she was representing a character from one of her favorite movies, which was Sullivan from Monsters Inc. I'm not gonna lie it took a second to figure out what was the character and then i got it (Yeah i know, i'm slow). I think she did very good, her makeup was best she has ever done, in my opinion. The dress itself fit her so well and blue is a colour that looks so good on her. The only thing i personally don't like is the sleeves, i think it would look better if she didn't have those sleeves, they shallow her a bit but overall a very strong look. For the judges, that little stumble that she had on her performance on the Rusical was heavily critiqued which i don't think is fair because sometimes it happens and she still kept going like a professional, yes you could see in her face that she messed up but atleast she still kept performing and it wasn't that big of deal, in my opinion.
Next up, we have Janey Jacké, but i like to call JJ. On the rusical she portrayed Meryl Streep, a parody of Donna Sheridan-Carmichael from the movie Mamma Mia. Janey on her first season, she won the rusical so i had high expecations for her on this challenge and she did not disappoint. She probably had one of the most challenging choreographies of the Rusical, walking around the stage, playing the piano and jumping around the stage while doing a lipsync, which on its own is very hard but she did held her own and delivered an amazing performance proving when it comes to rusicals, she knows what to do. On the runway, she served this yellow fashion look. She looks so good in yellow, her makeup and hair also looked so good and i love the fit of the dress, she looks good. The only thing i would change would be the hat, i would have done a different style of hat but overall she did an amazing job this week. It's the second week in a row that she has been doing amazing in this competition proving once again that in the first week she was getting used to the pace of the competition and now she came to slay.
Last perfomance on the rusical we have Jimbo. She had to portray Dodo the Dog which is a parody of Toto the dog from The Wizard of Oz. When it comes to dancing, that's an area that Jimbo struggles a lot and you could see that in the rusical. During her performance, we could see her confidence going away, which is sad because this was a character that could be right on Jimbo's alley but she did struggle with the dancing and also with the lipsync. It was a little bit hard to watch her flop the performance, especially after seeing her slay the first two episodes but a well rounded queen always struggles in some type of category and with Jimbo is with the dancing. On the runway, she did not struggle, she served this futuristic green outfit, which is a rish she took and it paid off because she looks good, the fit of it is amazing, i love the gloves and i especially love the helmet that she wore with this outfit. The judges did gave her a hard time when it came down to the performance on the rusical because they wanted to see more out of Jimbo but runway wise, they did love this look and complimented her for trying something new because they appreciate when queens do that. It means that they are listening and want to become better as weeks go by. This was the hardest week for Jimbo and she had to rely on the kindness of her cast partners to still keep her on the competition.
Placements of this episode:
TOP 2 - Janey and Pangina
SAFE - Baga Chipz and Blu Hydrangea
LOW - Mo Heart
BOTTOM 2 - Jimbo and Jujubee
So for this week, Janey (again) and Pangina were the Top 2 of the week, so they had to decide which of the bottom 2 queens they wanted to eliminate from the competition. But in order to do that they had to win the lipsync. The song for the lipsync, this week, was "We like to Party" from the VengaBoys. It was a very funny lipsync, with some stunts and also some good choreography but at the end of the day, only one of them can win the lipsync and the queen who won the lipsync was Pangina Heals and she revealed that she decided to send home Jimbo, causing the first shocking elimination of this season since Jimbo was the frontrunner at that moment so seeing her go home was heartbreaking especially when she started to cry wishing she was a better dog (referencing her character on the Rusical).
